Named for a small railroad operating in Pennsylvania which was eventually controlled by the Pennsylvania Railroad, "THE PANHANDLE" is the nickname for the "P" Company's Mainline from Pittsburgh to St. Louis and Chicago, via Columbus, Ohio.
THE PANHANDLE - VOLUME V begins in Columbus and covers the line to Indianapolis and St. Louis with cab-ride and trackside scenes of the Penn Central and Conrail eras. Locations featured include Dayton, Richmond, Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Effingham, and TRRA trackage to St. Louis Union Station. A special feature included at the end of this footage are scenes along these routes shot during the mid-1990's.
