An action packed video featuring the last years of steam in North Jersey with a few electrics and first generation diesels. Many railroads are represented including the Jersey Central, Reading, Lehigh Valley, Erie, Delaware and Hudson, Pennsylvania, Rahway Valley and the Lackawanna. The first 30 minutes contains film shot by Neil Huff in the 40's and 50's, then excerpts from an early Union Switch & Signal Co..film supplied by Jeff Seidle and closing with newsreel footage of the Pennsylvania Railroad wreck of "The Broker" at Woodbridge, N.J, in 1951.
